Brackley’s tough run of games continues with Tuesday’s trip to 8th placed Alfreton Town.
After five successive wins Saints have won one and drawn three of the last five games producing a points tally of 21 from their opening 10 fixtures. Defeat at Salford City on Saturday brought to an end an 18 game unbeaten run stretching back to March.
Alfreton have 16 points and have won three of their last four games and scoring 13 times. The Reds’ defeats have all come on the road while at home they have one of the best records in the division with four wins and just one loss to date while conceding just once.
Last season’s trip to the Derbyshire side was another midweek encounter and a frustrating one for Kevin Wilkin’s side drawing 0-0 despite dominating possession and creating a myriad of chances.
Saints will be hoping to come away with a win ahead of next Saturday’s FA Cup tie at Bostik Premier League side Kingstonian and after drawing a blank in the last two games in front of goal. Jimmy Armson remains side-lined, otherwise Kevin has his full squad available for selection.
If you cannot get to the game then follow the action on the club website and through reports throughout the evening on BBC Radio Oxford.
