Northampton Town E.D.C u15's v Brackley Town u15's 13/11/17
A eagerly awaited Monday night fixture was finally here with Northampton E.D.C hosting the game under the floodlights on their 3G pitch at The Duston School, Northampton. The game was to be played over 4 quarters of 20mins each with the Brackley team consisting of

two trialists & a couple of u14's who have impressed for the u15's before. However it was Northampton who set the fast pace with some terrific passes & looking to switch the play quickly in the final third to stretch the resilient Brackley rear guard. It took us time to adjust to the pace but it wasn't long before we grew in confidence & started to impose ourselves. Both teams were cancelling each other out as half chances came & went for both sides until Northampton had the best chance with Rhys Allen pulling off a terrific save to keep the score at 0-0. Over the whole 4 periods the football was very competitive, fast flowing & the score still deadlocked at 0-0 with Northampton's keeper pulling off some good saves also. Brackley grabbed the lead with a terrific move setting Zac Carter through down the right hand side. Zac kept his shot low & hit it across the keeper nestling into the bottom corner of the net with just a couple of minutes still to play. The game was played with terrific spirit & passing football from both sides with Brackley coming out on top in the end. All the lads were fantastic, but Lloyd, Hayden D & Connor put in superb displays along with both u14's Issac & Manny. This is probably one of the best team performances we have seen so far & our shape is starting to come together.

Well done lads you have now set the bar to build on for the future......
